You can pre-order the Faden siblings’ next adventure now. It’s been about five months since our last look at Resonant controlthe highly anticipated sequel to that of 2019 Control from Remedy Entertainment, and now we know when it will arrive: September 24, 2026. The date was announced today as part of the PlayStation State of Play event, but it will also arrive on Xbox Series X/S and PC.
The date was revealed alongside a brief trailer that focuses a little more on the story, which will begin with Dylan Faden, the brother of the original game’s protagonist Jesse. The Hiss, a malevolent force unleashed against the Federal Bureau of Control, are on the rampage in New York City and Dylan is tasked with stopping them – which is apparently causing a bit of friction in the FBC world. We also got a quick glimpse of Jesse using her powers alongside Dylan, good news for fans who were hoping we’d see more of her even though the game is focused on her brother.
The PlayStation Blog tells a little more of the story and digs a little deeper into the Jesse/Dylan relationship. “Dylan’s journey is shaped by Jesse’s actions as humanity faces a new existential threat. She remains central and present in the game, but it is he who moves the story forward,” we can read.
“In Resonantwe delve deeper into the Fadens’ complicated past. Their lives have been anything but easy, and the price of what they are carrying is about to be due. What awaits them will push them further than ever before. »
Pre-orders for Resonant control are open starting today and people who order the Digital Deluxe Edition will have access to the game 48 hours early.
