Apple announces that iPhone Duo apps can now be submitted to the App Store

Apple today announced that apps optimized for iPhone Duo can now be submitted for App Store approval, ahead of the foldable device’s launch on Friday, October 23.

While existing App Store apps will run automatically on iPhone Duo, only apps created with iOS SDK 27.1 or later can be dynamically resized to fill the entire internal screen space, while non-optimized apps will have black borders. Developers can prepare their apps for iPhone Duo using Xcode 27.1, and Apple has shared some tips on its website.
