Tim Cook will attend Apple’s “Surprise and Shine” event screening this Wednesday, but he won’t be featured in the event video itself, according to Bloomberg Mark Gurman’s sources. Cook stepped down as Apple CEO on September 1 to become the company’s executive chairman, clearing the way for John Ternus to take over.
In its latest Power On newsletter, Gurman said Apple had “carefully orchestrated this transition to make Ternus the face of the foldable iPhone and all new products to come. Putting Cook in the presentation would only detract from that.”
