As noted Bold FireballJohn Gruber, developer Jeff Halter, has released a new Afterglow app that lets you run classic After Dark screensavers on modern versions of macOS.
“Afterglow is an emulator specifically designed to run After Dark mods – the original 68k mod code, not a remake or port – without reliance on ROMs or classic Mac OS,” said Halter, who has several fun nostalgia projects, such as the After Dark space shooter Lunacy and the HyperCard player Stacks.
