If you’ve been waiting for more news on the upcoming Google Pixel 11, we might have some unfortunate news this week. That’s because we may have gotten our first look at what to expect when it comes to the Pixel 11’s price, and so far it appears that the rumors about potential price increases for the next Pixel device have come true, with the Pixel 11 set at $899, about $100 more than the cheapest Pixel 10. (via Android Authority)
This price was gleaned from the now-deleted Amazon listings for the Pixel 11, and reports of the price increase also include a breakdown of what to expect from the Pixel 11 Pro, with the cheapest version of the most powerful Pixel flagship starting at $1,099. We’ve also seen reports from Droid Life of finding a larger 512GB storage variant starting at $1,019. This brings the price of the Pixel 11 closer to that of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, which might cause some users to do a double take given that the Tensor chipsets used in Pixel devices are often considered much weaker than the high-end Snapdragon processors used in other flagship devices.
In total, here are the prices we expect from the Pixel 11 lineup based on the latest reports:
- Pixel 11: $899 / $1,019
- Pixel 11 Pro: $1,099 / $1,219 / $1,449
- Pixel 11 Pro XL: $1,299 / $1,419 / $1,649
- Pixel 11 Pro foldable: $1,899 / $2,019 / $2,249
Higher price, more storage
While the Pixel 11 price hikes may not be good news, users will be happy to hear that it appears Google has paid attention to what fans expect from the Pixel 11 and upgraded the base model’s storage, taking it from 128GB to 256GB. So while the Pixel 11 will technically cost $100 more for the most basic model, that extra $100 gives you a little more storage to work on your device. It’s a good move, especially as Google continues to add new features to Android, including AI features that take up valuable storage space and often can’t be removed to help restore that used space.
The Pixel 11 is also expected to include the same amount of RAM as the Pixel 10 (12GB), although it has been reported that the Pixel 11 Pro lineup will see a breakdown in RAM amounts this year. In the past, the Pixel 10 Pro offered 16GB of RAM, regardless of which storage variant you purchased. However, this year it looks like Google will lock 16GB of RAM behind purchasing the 512GB or 1TB variants of the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL, as well as all variants of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. To know exactly how this will affect the device’s overall performance will have to wait for both benchmarks and real-world tests, but the extra 4GB of RAM over the 256GB/12GB variants should at least help the more expensive Pixel 11 Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold be worth the extra cost for those who pick them up.
Details continue to trickle in – here’s when to expect the reveal
Details about the Pixel 11 lineup continue to emerge online. Not only have the reports on these Amazon listings given us an idea of what to expect from device price tags, but we’ve also seen them all pop up at the FCC. The FCC listings don’t really give us much information to rely on, but it once again confirms that Google’s next Pixel devices are on the way. The company is expected to unveil the devices at a Made by Google event on August 12, and pre-orders will likely open shortly after the reveal. This is pretty common practice for Google at this point, so we don’t expect things to turn out differently, although there’s certainly always a chance.
The Google Pixel 11 is reportedly the first smartphone with a 2nm chip, which could give Google a small edge over its competition against Apple in creating the best in-house chipset. Of course, no details on how this 2nm chip performs compared to the older 3nm Tensor G5 have surfaced, but for hardware fans, it’s a nice win for Google. Combined with all the details revealed online so far, the Pixel 11 seems to be shaping up well. Now we just need Google to officially reveal the phone and confirm everything so fans can know exactly what they’re getting from the next Pixel.
