It’s easy to overwrite a password. But, in macOS Tahoe, Apple introduced a new feature in Passwords that allows you to recover older passwords. Here’s how it works.

The benefits of having one place to store your passwords securely are obvious, but there’s also a problem. This means you also have one place where you can make a mistake.
Most of the time, you probably leave a password alone for years, even though you shouldn’t. But if, for example, you need to log into a site and you’re not on any of your own devices, you probably won’t have any idea what your password is.
