Instagram finally launched an iPad app last fall, more than 15 years after the iPad launched. But the iPad version of Instagram differed from its iPhone app in key ways. Now, after a new update, Instagram for iPad has been redesigned to be what it always should have been. The new Instagram app for iPad works exactly like the iPhone version, ditching the Reels-first design The wait for a native Instagram app for iPad seemed endless, especially for those who matter. But when Instagram finally came to iPad last fall, it came with a curious design choice. Rather than replicating…

Before AI, I rarely heard non-developers talk about building their own apps, tools, or automations. Now it’s everywhere, largely due to “vibe-coding” tools, including Claude Code. The reason I’m specifically highlighting Claude Code is that Claude has become the tool that everyone (and I mean literally everyone) has been talking about lately. Even users who would never touch a tool with the word “Code” in it set it up just to make sure they got their money’s worth with that $20 subscription. Now, I’m not going to be dramatic here and say that I don’t use Claude Code. On the…

It seems like just yesterday that Nintendo launched the Nintendo Switch, becoming one of the hottest brands in the gaming industry. Since it’s been a while, and especially considering that the Switch 2 was released, it can seem like the days of the original Switch are over. However, this is not necessarily true; The original Switch is still worth buying for any gaming enthusiast, and while you won’t get Switch 2-level performance upgrades, you can improve your overall…

But after getting your hands on one and filling it with all the titles your heart desires, it still ended up sitting on your nightstand, collecting dust. For many users, the Kindle is actually one of the most effective tools that allow them to quickly go through their TBR (to-read list). But for others, it may take…

iOS 26.5 is now available to everyone after six weeks of beta testing. The update adds new wallpapers, new features to Apple Maps, and more. Perhaps most notably, iOS 26.5 adds end-to-end encryption support for RCS messaging. Apple says the feature, which is still in beta, will be rolled out gradually over the coming months… Apple first added RCS support to the iPhone with iOS 18.1, enabling richer cross-platform messaging between iPhone and Android users. This included features such as typing indicators, read receipts, and high-resolution photo and video attachments. Back in March, Apple announced plans to add end-to-end encryption…

GIMP and I have a strange history. I keep it installed, open it every now and then, and then remember why I stopped trying to use it as my primary editor. This is mainly because the interface is…a lot. Not only is there a lot going on, but the panels and features seem very disconnected, at least when you come from editors that use traditional layouts like Photoshop, Photopea, Affinity and the like. From what I understand, GIMP has a loyal user base, so this whole thing might seem silly if you’re already used to navigating GIMP. Either way, it’s…
