The abbreviated name, “AI 2”, is the scariest thing so far. Creative assembly/Sega Time works differently in space than on other planets, so the decade and more that Extraterrestrial isolation fans were waiting for the sequel, it could have seemed like a nod to a different world. On dry land, however, it lasted 12 years. Now, after an initial teaser last month, we got our first look at Alien Isolation 2 during the Summer Game Fest main showcase by way of a cinematic trailer. The brief clip features a station in disarray, a flamethrower, a scream,…

StudioMDHR StudioMDHR, the developer of a hand-drawn action platformer Cutting headannounced that he was working on a new game called Cuphead’s Mighty Adventure at Summer Game Fest Live 2026. The 2D platformer apparently abandons the 1930s-inspired animation of Cutting head in favor of an 8-bit style that looks more at home in Super Mario Bros. 3. Only a small part of Cuphead’s Mighty Adventure was actually shown during the developer’s announcement, so it’s hard to say how it might differ from the original game beyond…

Blood Dungeon is the new game from Nidhogg and Wheel World studio Messhof, and it looks like a silly platforming mess with MS Paint-style graphics, twitchy mechanics and, of course, giant flying worms. These are clearly all positive descriptors. The majority of these features are unlocked as you progress through the maps avoiding traps, collecting resources, and kiting enemies to strategic locations. Each stage has plenty of platforms, of course, but also nets, ladders, chains, and…
