Earlier this month, references to two unreleased Apple game controllers were reportedly spotted in macOS 26.7 beta code, and now BloombergMark Gurman of shared more details.
In his To light up In today’s newsletter, Gurman said the controllers have been in development for over a year, are intended for the iPhone, and will likely be branded as Beats. Acquired by Apple in 2014, Beats has expanded beyond headphones and now sells charging cables, iPhone cases and more.
“Apple sees this as a growing market and wants to participate,” he wrote. No word on pricing or availability.
