Apple launched a new campaign in China called “Luckily I Wore It” (“还好戴着它”), which includes a special podcast episode in which three users share their stories. Here are the details.
Apple Watch campaign highlights life-changing experiences
Apple and TBWAMedia Arts Lab – China launched a campaign featuring the stories of three Apple Watch users who were saved thanks to the device’s emergency features.
On Apple’s Chinese website, a new “Luckily I Was Wearing It” section features quotes from three Apple Watch users, Me Junyan, Chen Huimin and Yang Xiao, who share their stories about fall detection, crash detection and heart rate alerts.
TBWA says the “Luckily I Was Wearing It” campaign gets its name from “an emerging phrase used organically by Apple Watch users themselves” following health-related emergencies or issues. (I can understand.)
Additionally, the campaign includes a special episode of the podcast “你,静不下来” (which loosely translates to “You Just Can’t Settle”) hosted by Li Jing, “one of China’s most trusted interviewers and an Apple Watch user,” according to TBWA.
In this hour-long episode, the three users share their stories, including an emergency call that saved their lives after a serious car accident in which the user lost consciousness.
If you speak Chinese and want to watch or listen to the entire episode, follow this link. Alternatively, you can view captioned segments of the interview on the TBWA website.
