Next spring could be a celebration of new iPads, MacBooks and iPhones.
Mark Gurman is back with a new report in Bloomberg on how Apple’s device lineup could evolve over the next 12 months. Sources told the Reporter that the company aims to introduce a redesign of the base MacBook Pro in the first half of 2027. The entry-level 14-inch laptop will sport a new design that aligns with the look of high-end computers likely to be announced starting in the fall. Gurman suggests the lineup will include Apple’s first touchscreen MacBook, which was previously rumored for the M6 generation of laptops.
In addition to the new entry-level laptop, Apple is reportedly testing four new iPad Pro models. While details of the new tablets have not been shared, sources have suggested that the next iPad series will focus on performance-enhancing features while retaining the current 11-inch and 13-inch size options.
Spring becomes the time when Apple makes more announcements for its entry-level and budget products, and sometimes even pulls out occasional surprises. In spring 2026, we received the MacBook Neo alongside a new iPhone, iPad and MacBook Pro within a week. Even without the potential addition of five products, spring 2027 was shaping up to be just as packed with Apple news. On the smartphone side, we were already expecting to hear about the base model of the iPhone 18 and an update of the iPhone Air. This could also be the case when Apple breaks with its Pro and Max tradition and goes straight to M7 silicon.
