Apple’s new iPhone Duo doesn’t have Face ID. This may irritate users used to the seamless unlock experience that a facial biometric system offers, but fortunately, Apple has integrated one of the Mac’s best authentication features into its first foldable iPhone.
Touch ID is built into the Duo’s side button for authentication whether the iPhone Duo is open or closed, but if you have an Apple Watch, you can choose to unlock your iPhone Duo without having to press anything. Pre-orders for iPhone Duo begin at 5:00 a.m. PT on Friday, October 16, and will be available on Friday, October 23.
