X’s XChat app is no longer available on the App Store, although it’s unclear whether Apple removed it or X deleted it.
XChat allows X users to communicate with each other using end-to-end encryption and disappearing messages. The app’s description says it’s a “private, focused space designed for conversation.” XChat launched in April 2026.
The app doesn’t show up when searching for it in the App Store, and clicking a link to it on the web returns an unavailable error.
