Just days after a widespread outage disrupted PlayStation’s online services for several hours, Xbox is facing its own problems. An outage began affecting multiple Xbox services on Sunday evening, including accounts, digital storefront, apps and games on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
Xbox’s status page states that players “may experience issues” playing digital and disc-based games. He points out that users may have problems logging into their profile. Even if they are connected, they can be disconnected. “Features that require a connection, such as most games, apps, and social activities, will not be available,” the page states. He added that people might also have problems launching apps and finding games in the store.
In a post on X Monday morning, Xbox said, “Our engineers are actively working to mitigate the issue.” The status page indicates that the division has identified the issue and a resolution is pending.
The outage comes weeks after Xbox laid off 1,600 employees and announced plans to cut an additional 1,600 jobs by the end of June 2027.
