Look anywhere in the tech accessories category and you’ll find just about every type of product with the Anker name on it, not to mention a number of Anker-owned tech brands. The company produces everything from mini smartphone gadgets to the popular Soundcore headphones. Surprisingly, at one point it also made 3D printers aimed at regular consumers. The key word is “made” because in 2025, Anker withdrew its range of 3D printers. What happened?
Sold under the AnkerMake banner, 3D printers like the AnkerMake M5 were very popular in this community. Despite this, Anker stopped producing these models due to critical component supply issues. There were hopes that the brand would survive under a new name, eufyMake, but those hopes were dashed when the company removed all information about its 3D printers from the website. Anker didn’t say the brand was dead, instead describing it as something of an indefinite hiatus. Considering that more than a year has passed with no news on this particular front, this is not a good sign for the return of 3D printers made by Anker.
What are some good alternatives to AnkerMake M5?

AnkerMake M5 received solid reviews upon release. However, there are countless alternatives offered by major 3D printer manufacturers, at around the same $699 asking price as the old M5. For example, the Bambu Lab P1S model is priced at $599 and it is a new and improved version of the Bambu Lab P1P at a reduced price. For reference, some reviews pointed out that the P1P had better print quality than the AnkerMake M5.
What about ease of use? After all, the biggest advantage of the M5 was the fact that it was beginner-friendly. In this case, Bambu Lab also offers you its A1 model. The setup process is quite simple and comes with a detailed guide that can help you prepare your 3D printer for printing. The Bambu Handy and Bambu Studio apps are also easy to use and will even offer you simple, ready-to-use 3D models while you test things out. You can buy A1 for as little as $399, which means it’s an even better introduction to the hobby than the discontinued Anker 3D printer.
Should we opt for something more affordable? While there are affordable devices in the $100 range, it’s best to avoid cheap 3D printer brands like EasyThreed, as many reports indicate that these products break quite quickly and tend to be a waste of money. Anker may be gone, but there are much better brands, including Bambu Labs and Creality.
