Since the Apple Watch Series 4 in 2018, the larger aluminum Apple Watch started at $429 in the US, but that changed with the Apple Watch Series 12.
While the Apple Watch Series 12 with a 42mm case maintains a starting price of $399, the 46mm model received a $20 price increase and now starts at $449.
In other words, upgrading to a 46mm case now costs $50 more instead of $30.
Apple products are becoming more and more expensive lately. Amid a shortage of RAM chips, the company raised prices on several existing iPhone models this week, after raising prices on Macs, iPads, HomePods, Apple TV and more in June. Additionally, starting prices for the iPhone 18 Pro models are $100 higher in the US than the iPhone 17 Pro models.
The Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 models have increased RAM, according to Xcode.
