Popular accessories maker Casetify has just launched a new collaboration with Bandai Namco for iPhone 17 and Samsung Galaxy S26 users with Tamagotchi-inspired products. Not only does the case maker offer plush earphone cases, straps, charms, and phone cases, but the company is also releasing the popular ’90s Tamagotchi, in which users can care for a baby Tamagotchi. We reviewed these products ahead of their May 29 release and here’s what we think.
By far, the most interesting accessory in this collection is the Tamagotchi itself, which is an Apple Watch-sized device with a retro screen and three buttons. You need to add your time zone and start caring for an egg, which will turn into a Tamagotchi. After that, you will experience being a parent for the first time by raising this charming (if annoying) creature, where you will have to feed, wash and play with it. Every time he needs you, the Tamagotchi device will beep and you need to take care of it quickly. Otherwise, he will become rebellious.
For me, raising a Tamagotchi in 2026 is like playing Pokémon Red and Blue again. I loved it as a kid, but I can’t believe I spent so many hours with these devices on such a poor quality screen. I’m almost 31 and my eyes are now accustomed to the beautiful OLED screens on my iPhone and iPad.
Casetify also offers other trendy accessories with the Tamagotchi collection
Alongside Tamagotchi, Casetify also offers a number of customizations for iPhone and Samsung Galaxy cases, including Tamagotchi figures, its custom font, and several different finishes. Even the company’s Carry-on Bounce suitcase gets two new design options to celebrate this partnership.
Among the items we got early access to was a 3-way strap that you can use to hold your phone, a few charms, and even a sticker pack that is now being used on the camera tray of my iPhone 17 Pro, following Apple’s advertising idea of adding stickers to the back of the iPhone. Tamagotchi fans or people who love kawaii items can find a range of detachable charms, and even try their luck with a brand new Tamagotchi Chase Card. Following the popularity of the Pokémon TCG, Magic: The Gathering, and Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, and more, Casetify also dabbles in its own cards, including “Supreme Ultra Rare” options.
Casetify’s partnership with Bandai Namco and its Tamagotchi brand will soon be available in the featured co-labs section on the Casetify website. The collection starts from $36, but it all depends on what you want to get. Meanwhile, customers can also find other collaborations, such as with Evangelion, Solo Leveling, Dragon Ball Z, etc.
