A subset of iPhone 18 Pro Max users in the United States are experiencing issues with AT&T cellular connectivity and/or eSIM provisioning, according to complaints on the Woozad forums, Reddit, and the Apple Support Community.
Affected users cannot connect to the AT&T network for phone calls, text messages, or data.
Notably, the US version of the iPhone 18 Pro Max is the only new iPhone released this month equipped with a Qualcomm cellular modem. The smaller iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo are equipped with Apple’s C2 modem worldwide, as is the iPhone 18 Pro Max in all other countries. However, it is unclear whether this is a contributing factor.
Apple is currently testing iOS 27.0.1, which is expected to be released next week, and we hope it will include a carrier update that fixes these AT&T issues.
