Ninja Theory’s next game is coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.
During the Xbox Games Showcase, it was revealed that Ninja Theory was returning to the world of Hellblade. Senua is a slightly different take on the series, as it’s a “full action-adventure,” according to an Xbox Wire blog post. It’s coming to Xbox Series X/S, Xbox on PC, Steam and PS5 in 2027. Naturally, Senua will be on Game Pass.
This new game will apparently offer expanded combat, more puzzles to solve, and some freedom to explore, although it retains a linear story. An action-packed trailer shows Senua taking on a group of bad guys and bathing in liquid gold. It looks pretty nice.
As for just calling him Senua“It really reflects that this is something fresh and new and different. It’s a different style of game,” said Ninja Theory studio director Dom Matthews. “I think Infernal Blade I And Infernal Blade II We had an intention that we achieved – but it is a different intention. I think it’s additive: we take all that goodness and add the kinds of things people expect from a premium action-adventure game. »
Matthew says Senua has a map that is about twice the size of that of Infernal Blade II. It has been in development since September 2024, just a few months after Ninja Theory delivered the previous game in the series. The story takes place after the events of the first two Hellblade games and takes place in Purgatory. I’m sure it won’t compare to God of War Laufey.
