Samsung today took to social media to mock the iPhone Duo as Apple announced the device.
In a series of sarcastic messages that didn’t explicitly mention Apple or the iPhone Duo, Samsung made comments such as “Let us know when you’re done reheating our leftovers” and “Was that exciting? No. Did that happen? Yes.”
Samsung used the hashtag #ItsTimeToSwitch in some of its posts.
Launching on Friday, October 23, the iPhone Duo will compete with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8 and other foldable devices already on the market. Apple will begin accepting pre-orders for the iPhone Duo on Friday, October 16, with US pricing starting at $1,999 for a model with 256GB of storage, compared to $1,899 for the Galaxy Z Fold8.
