Next year marks the iPhone’s 20th anniversary, and new leaks support an earlier report that Apple’s iPhone 19 Pro models will both feature a radical new design.
The iPhone 19 Pro and Pro Max would have a quadruple curved screen and Face ID under the screen
Earlier this month, analyst Jeff Pu shared a report that brought a lot of clarity to Apple’s iPhone plans for next year.
We were expecting a unique new design for the 20th anniversary with:
- Curved quad display for frameless appearance
- Face ID sub-screen, leaving only a punch-hole cutout or no cutout at all
Until Pu’s report, everything indicated that this “iPhone 20” would be a completely new model in the range. But he claimed the new design would arrive on the Pro and Pro Max models in 2027.
Now, that report has been corroborated by reputed supply chain leaker, Digital Chat Station.
In a new Weibo post and follow-up response, he claims that Apple’s “iPhone 19 Pro” line – or whatever special brand it might get – will have the quad-curved screen design that has already been rumored.
According to its message, the new design is undergoing “evaluation testing” in the mass production line.
Digital Chat Station’s corroboration of Pu’s earlier claim adds significant weight to the idea that Apple’s 20th anniversary design won’t be an entirely separate model.
Instead, as Mark Gurman initially reported, this is a redesign aimed at the iPhone 19 Pro and Pro Max.
The new Pro models will likely be joined in the 2027 lineup by a second-generation iPhone Ultra. A new iPhone Air could also debut.
