It’s all good and it ends well in App Store review controversies. Last March, a major agent coding company made headlines when Apple reportedly delayed the launch of new versions of its iPhone app.
Two months later, the head of the company says that they have “fixed the problem with Apple” and that they have a major new app update to show.
Replit brings Agent 4 to the iPhone app
Replit CEO Amjad Masad shared on X this week that the company and Apple had resolved the issue that resulted in four months without any updates to the app.
“We resolved the issue with Apple and just released our app for the first time in four months,” says Masad.
“Thank you to all our customers and creators who have helped us. It’s been a journey, but we never give up and stay winners! Enjoy the updates! Lots of new things to come.”
For Replit users, the new update brings Agent 4 to the mobile app, which Replit says is designed for creativity.
Replit unveiled its Agent 4 technology in March:
The latest update to Replit’s iPhone app also introduces support for parallel agents that can work on multiple ideas simultaneously, team collaboration using merge flows, and the ability to view projects in multiple workspaces.
Along with this release, Replit is running a promotion to attract users of other mood coding platforms.
It’s unclear what exactly changed between Apple and Replit. The March issue concerned how AI-created apps were previewed on iPhone.
Looking ahead, Apple may be planning bigger changes in the App Store regarding AI agents.
The company’s annual developer conference kicks off on June 8, so we’re likely just a few weeks away from some major announcements in this area.
Replit for iPhone and iPad is available on the App Store – now with its first update in four months.
