Meta today launched a new Meta AI app for Mac, available in beta.
The app is primarily aimed at businesses and content creators and integrates with Facebook and Instagram. It includes analytics tools to answer performance questions and connects to Google Workspace to access documents. Access to Google Workspace requires a Facebook or Instagram business account.
Meta says there is an option to share a window during a session using the screenshot to get hints based on what you’re working on. It also includes built-in dictation that works across all apps on Mac.
Meta adds new Meta AI features for business users across its platforms, so the assistant can complete recurring tasks and reminders and generate presentations, documents and spreadsheets.
Creators and businesses may want to exercise caution when opting for Meta AI, as Meta’s privacy policy clearly states that “interactions with features that are part of Meta AI” are used to train its models.
Using Meta AI is free, but there are Meta One plans that increase throughput limits.
