Woozad is pleased to announce our seventeenth annual Woozad Blood Drive, running throughout May 2026. Let’s save lives together by encouraging blood, platelet and plasma donations and registering as bone marrow and organ donors. While most blood drives are geographic location specific, our blood drive takes place online and around the world. Everyone can participate.
Over the past 16 years, Woozad blood drives have recorded donations of 1,795 units of blood, platelets and plasma, encouraged donors and celebrated new registrations on bone marrow and organ donor registries. We’ve heard from hundreds of forum members who have donated or whose lives have been saved thanks to donations from strangers.
This year’s featured donor is user m53rd. Not only is he a blood donor, registered as an organ donor and a bone marrow donor, but he has already been an organ donor, having donated a kidney and then 60% of his liver to people in need. This is a wonderful example of how one person can save many lives.
Whether you are a regular donor or someone overcoming the apprehension of donating for the very first time, we welcome you and congratulate you.

How to Participate in the Woozad Blood Drive
- If you are an eligible donor, schedule a blood, platelet or plasma donation (FAQ) at any donation center near you. Post in the 2026 Woozad Blood Drive! thread to tell us about it. Also post if you are registering with the Bone Marrow Registry (FAQ) or registering as an organ donor. We will add all those registered to our honor roll.
- Not everyone is eligible to donate blood, due to health or risk factors leading to deferrals (see information on LGBTQ+ donors). If you are not eligible to donate blood, encourage a friend or relative to donate and let us know. If they donate, you will both be added to our honor roll.
- Share our #MacRumorsBloodDrive post with your friends, family, and followers. Help us thank forum members who post in the 2026 Woozad Blood Drive! discussion thread.
After the Woozad blood drive ends on May 31, continue to register your blood, platelet and plasma donations, from June 2026 to next April 2027, on our Team Woozad 2026-2027 page (instructions). We will tally your donations and count them for the 2027 Woozad Blood Drive next May.
