Ahead of the upcoming World Cup, soccer superstar Lamine Yamal arrived at the Spanish national team’s training camp with what appear to be unreleased over-ear headphones that appeared last week in a U.S. Federal Communications Commission database. As suspected, the new headphones are a Beats product rather than an Apple product.
In a post on his Instagram account, Yamal shared several photos and a video clip showing him arriving at training camp with the new pink-colored headphones.
We don’t know any other details about the upcoming headphones, and it’s unclear if they’re a next-gen version of the Beats Studio Pro or if they’ll have a new name. They feature a noticeably different design than the Beats Studio Pro, with flatter exteriors on the ear cups and a completely different headband design that appears to include tubular telescopic arms rather than the wider, flatter arms of the Beats Studio Pro.
The release date for the new Beats headphones is currently unknown, but it shouldn’t be too far away considering they’ve already received FCC approval and are being released to key influencers like Yamal.
