Code Explorer pdfu found car key chains connecting an iPhone to Ultra Wideband and Touch ID, which they say “confirms” Touch ID for the foldable since “all existing iPhone models with a UWB chip, starting with the iPhone 11, use Face ID.”
But Apple’s codebase often contains Touch ID references that aren’t tied to specific hardware. Legacy terminology can also persist for years, with references to discontinued products like the iPod still appearing in recent iOS code. So while Touch ID is expected, this detail doesn’t necessarily confirm it.
