After releasing iOS 27 last week, Apple is already testing a follow-up iOS 27.0.1 update for iPhones, according to Woozad newspapers.
iOS 27.0.1 will likely be a minor update with bug fixes and/or security patches.
Soon after Apple releases new iPhone models, some software bugs are usually discovered when the devices fall into the hands of millions of customers around the world. This year, some iPhone 18 Pro users are experiencing Face ID issues, so it’s likely that iOS 27.0.1 will include at least a few Face ID-related bug fixes or improvements.
watchOS 27.0.1 is already available for the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4. This update fixes an issue where these models may restart unexpectedly.
We don’t know exactly when iOS 27.0.1 will be released to the public, but keep an eye out for the update in the coming days or weeks.
