It looks like Rockstar is sticking to the November 19 release date.
Rockstar Games parent Take-Two has been promising for some time that it would reignite the hype for Grand Theft Auto VI this summer ahead of the November 19 release date. We got our first indication that this marketing machine was in motion on Thursday, with the news that the publisher would open pre-orders for the highly anticipated game on June 25.
There’s no new trailer yet – at this point, I’d be surprised if Rockstar doesn’t release one right as pre-orders begin. Still, he revealed the game’s cover art. It really looks like any other GTA cover, with a series of stylized images showing several characters, weapons, vehicles and animals that will populate the new version of Vice City.
The pre-order announcement is further indication that Rockstar is indeed sticking to the November 19 release date after previous delays. The publisher announced them about six months after the originally planned release dates, and we’re now in that window. So all the indications point in the direction GTA VI effectively landing on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in five months.
