The Google Pixel 10 and OnePlus 15 are two popular premium Android phones you can buy in the United States. They both offer powerful processors, ample memory for smooth multitasking, and fast connectivity options. There is, however, one thing that differs significantly between the two phones, at least on paper: the battery. While the OnePlus 15 comes with a massive 7,300mAh battery, the Pixel 10 is limited to just a 4,970mAh cell. This noticeable difference in battery capacity between the two phones suggests that the OnePlus 15 is more likely to offer better battery life than the Pixel 10.
However, real-world performance can often tell a different story, thanks to software optimization, as in the case of different iPhone models. But is this the case for the OnePlus 15 and Pixel 10? Unfortunately no. In our review of the OnePlus 15, we found that the phone easily lasts two days on a single charge. In comparison, we found the Google Phone to be only good for a single day of use in our Pixel 10 review.
Even in a head-to-head battery test by our smartphone reviewer Christian from Looper on YouTube, the Pixel 10’s battery gave up after about 17 hours and 15 minutes during a video playback test, while the OnePlus 15’s battery lasted 34 hours and 38 minutes. Other experts have obtained similar results in their own tests.
OnePlus 15 pips not just the Pixel 10 but all Android flagships
Several experts have tested and found that the OnePlus 15 is arguably the best battery performer among the current lineup of Android phones available in the United States. The phone outperformed the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, and OnePlus 15R in ZDNet’s tests. PhoneArena’s measurements also showed that the OnePlus 15 outperforms all current flagships except the Oppo Find X9 Pro, which has a 7,500 mAh battery. Additionally, YouTube creator Custom Adventurist compared the OnePlus 15 to many popular models, and it outperformed all of them in terms of battery.
Battery life isn’t the only thing in the OnePlus 15’s favor here. It also supports faster wired and wireless charging. With a compatible charger, you can charge its battery at 80W, while the Pixel 10 is limited to 30W charging. Likewise, the OnePlus 15 supports 50W wireless charging, while the Pixel 10 tops out at 15W. This means that not only will the OnePlus 15 last longer than the Pixel 10 in terms of battery life, but it will also charge much faster.
Finally, both phones come with a standard one-year limited warranty in the United States, which includes the battery. You can also purchase a protection plan, called Pixel Care+ in the case of the Pixel 10, to extend your phone’s battery warranty. OnePlus, however, doesn’t appear to be offering its own protection plan for the OnePlus 15 in the US. In addition, it is important to remember that OnePlus has stopped selling its phones in the American market and, therefore, its after-sales service could be impacted.
