The annual developers conference starts today. Google (Screenshot) It’s time again for Google to unveil a cornucopia of new features for its dizzying array of software products. The company’s developer conference kicks off today, with a keynote scheduled for 1 p.m. ET. You can watch the stream (here’s how to watch the I/O 2026 keynote) or, if you’re unable to listen to a video, you can simply rely on our live blog here! (You can also do both, you’re multitasking.) Google already held an I/O edition of its regular Android Show last week, during which it launched a whole new product category (Googlebooks) and showed off a whole bunch of Android, Gemini and Chrome updates. You can follow everything Google announced at last week’s Android Show ahead of today’s keynote to be more informed about what the company is likely to discuss today. Based on recent I/O, it’s highly likely that we’ll hear a lot about – you guessed it – AI. This comes in the form of Gemini templates, Google Search and Workspace integrations, and maybe even surprises in its special projects. Will we see more holographic telecommunications systems today? Or AR glasses with live translation? It’s a conundrum, but it will certainly be a long and eventful speech. Our live blog will begin here around 10 a.m. ET as our reporters Karissa Bell and Igor Bonifacic head to the Shoreline Amphitheater. Stick around, we’re so glad you’re here!
