Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman said that “everyone” within Apple is referring to the company’s next foldable iPhone as the “iPhone Ultra” internally, although he cautioned that this doesn’t necessarily confirm it as the final name.
The comments came in response to Creative Strategies analyst Max Weinbach, who argued that the name “Ultra” is inappropriate because Apple’s existing Ultra products represent the highest-performance version of a line, and that the foldable would not clearly outperform the iPhone Pro as that positioning implies.
