When I first purchased the ESR Geo Wallet Boost last year, I had a thought: Either I’m living in the future, or I’m an absolute idiot for plugging my wallet into a wall charger. Obviously, charging your wallet seems like a huge hassle on paper, but after using it from time to time, I can confidently say that the functionality you get is completely worth the minor inconvenience of charging, as it’s more like charging a Kindle here and there rather than something you really worry/think about.

What I like about the ESR Geo Wallet Boost
The main reason to own a wallet that requires recharging is the native Find My integration. I lose my wallet somewhere in my house at least once a week. AirTags were practically invented for people like me, but they add a lot of bulk to a slim profile. This wallet connects directly to the Find My network without the need for additional accessories or pouches. If you leave it behind, you receive an alert. If he falls between the sofa cushions, you can ping him with a loud sound.
A 90-minute charge gives you approximately 3 months of battery life. I’d much rather plug my wallet in four times a year than spend twenty minutes demolishing my house before leaving for work. It uses a proprietary connector that plugs into a standard USB-C port, making charging quite simple. It’s similar to a Kindle, where you really don’t think about charging it at all.
The biggest complaint with most MagSafe wallets is the lack of storage. Most have a maximum of three cards and leave absolutely no room for cash. The ESR Geo Wallet Boost can hold up to five cards or four cards plus some cash. It uses a two-slot configuration with a convenient thumb cutout at the bottom, so you’ll never have to struggle to remove your driver’s license. I usually keep my ID and daily credit card, and put my backup credit cards in the other slot. If you still have a physical driver’s license, a few cards, and some cash, this wallet handles it easily. I actually just got back from a trip this weekend and this is something I keep coming back to as the reason I love this wallet.

ESR has integrated 20 N52 magnets into the ESR Geo Wallet Boost, and they are incredibly powerful. The magnetic grip beats almost everything I’ve tested. It locks onto the iPhone and stays in place even when you slip it into tight pockets. The exterior is wrapped in vegan leather with a black carbon fiber finish, giving it a premium look without adding unnecessary bulk.
What I don’t like
The only real downside is that it can’t act as a stand. The built-in stands are fantastic for FaceTime calls, watching movies on a flight, or just resting your phone on your desk. If you rely on this feature on a daily basis, this wallet is not for you. There is no kickstand feature.
The ESR Geo Wallet Boost focuses entirely on storage and tracking. You trade the kickstand feature for native Find My support and higher card capacity. Depending on how you use your phone, this swap is probably worth it.
Geo Wallet Boost Summary
The ESR Geo Wallet Boost solves two major problems. It has built-in Find My tracking without the need for an AirTag and it holds more than three cards, which is enough to make it a legitimate EDC. I still wish it worked as a stand, but I’ll happily accept Find My support and expanded storage instead.
