No more Beavis and Butt-Head in your matches.
For all the Call of Duty players rolling their eyes at the growing number of ridiculously distracting skins, a solution is at hand, at least for one game mode. Season 1 for Modern Warfare 4 will introduce a toggle for War zone matches that replace all player skins acquired from other sources in the CoD universe with standard Operator skins. The toggle is off by default and has no impact on the experience of others in a match. Even when the toggle is on, the player’s skin will appear as usual, so you can be the only cartoon character and force everyone else to wear camouflage if you want.
Considering that over the years the popular FPS has given players the chance to play as everything from Rambo to Beavis to Butt-Head, the matches might seem downright ridiculous. Not to mention the added indignity of being offended by a creepy, fuzzy creature called a Wubz, because that’s apparently a thing you can be. These players who want to keep the War zone a serious experience, at least as serious as CoD can be, will likely adopt the new option.
