Evolf/Shutterstock One of the most underrated benefits of having an iPhone is the hidden backspace feature and all the accessibility options it offers. The smartphone line has a number of features that can help individuals navigate the device more easily; there’s even a hidden iOS feature to help people with eye strain. Accessibility options can be useful for those who need them, but one feature can cause a gray dot to appear on your screen when you don’t want it to. If you see a gray dot on your iPhone…

Successes are also on the way for the first Xbox games. Xbox Game preservation is a hot topic right now amid Sony’s decision to stop manufacturing PlayStation discs. Xbox has arguably done a better job in recent years thanks in large part to its backwards compatibility efforts on consoles. It is now expanding them to more platforms thanks to the Xbox backward compatibility program on PC. “Your library is more than just a collection of games. It’s your personal story of epic stories and precious memories from the past,” wrote Jason Ronald, vice president of next…
Samsung’s big Unpacked event of the summer wasn’t for the faint of heart. Alongside two new smartwatches and all new collaborations with AI companies, chipmakers and Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon), it revealed three new foldable phones: the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, a redesigned Galaxy Z Fold 8 and a more similar Galaxy Z Flip 8. The base Z Fold 8 perhaps stands out, with a less square 7.6-inch main screen better designed for reading and web browsing. And yes, Google has been doing this for a few years. But the Samsung phone I want most is the one I’ve…
Samsung has gotten a head start on the traditional fall hardware season in recent years by announcing its Galaxy foldable and smartwatch lines every July. The company is sticking with that approach this year with a midsummer reveal of three new phones: the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Flip 8. Samsung also revealed the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 smartwatches. Phones have a few things in common. For example, all three run on the same chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy. The base models come with the…
Apple has completed development of a new iMac that it plans to release later this year, according to a report today from BloombergIt’s Mark Gurman. The updated iMac is one of 11 new Mac models that Apple plans to release over the next two years. Unsurprisingly, the next iMac will have a newer chip, but the report doesn’t indicate whether Apple plans to use the existing M5 chip or the upcoming M6 chip. No major design changes have been announced for the next iMac, so it will likely continue to feature a 24-inch LCD screen. However, the report states that…
Apple is working on a new MacBook Neo with two key upgrades, including an A19 Pro chip and increased RAM, according to BloombergIt’s Mark Gurman. With the A19 Pro chip, the second-generation MacBook Neo is expected to have 12GB of RAM, compared to an A18 Pro chip with 8GB of RAM in the current model. The report suggests that the upcoming MacBook Neo will also have new color options. Existing finishes include Silver, Blush, Citrus and Indigo. Although the report does not indicate when the next MacBook Neo will be released, the first half of next year seems likely. The…
This limited what I was able to test during my week with a unit of the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. And since I was unfortunately sick during my first few days of use, I wasn’t physically well enough to go out and do much of anything. What I ended up doing on those days was obsessively checking my antioxidant levels and being told repeatedly that I was very toxic. Just kidding, of course, that’s not what these readings mean and that’s not what this feature is supposed to do. Also, the Antioxidant Index feature isn’t even new, but it was…
Yes, you can take the Ultra 2 dive. Sam Rutherford for Woozad Samsung revealed the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 at today’s Unpacked event and said it was designed for “extreme outdoor adventurers and high-performance seekers.” The new Ultra comes with an impact-resistant titanium case for durability. It’s rated IP69K, the highest rating for rugged devices, meaning it’s completely dust-proof and can withstand high-pressure and high-temperature water jets. As it has a water resistance rating of 10 ATM, you can take it snorkeling or even diving as it can be submerged in water up to 100 meters…
We may receive a commission on purchases made from links. Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra foldable smartphone, the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the new flagship of the company’s expanded foldable lineup. The model brings overall improvements over its predecessor, with a high-resolution screen, sharper ultra-wide camera, bigger battery and faster processor. It should not be confused with the Galaxy Z Fold 8, a brand new (slightly cheaper) model with a smaller but much wider screen. Before diving into the specs, it’s worth taking a look at the dimensions and screens of…
Probably the biggest selling point of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra over the S26 Ultra is that foldable screen. While the Fold 8 Ultra looks more or less like a normal smartphone when closed, with a 6.5-inch 1080p display, it opens to reveal an 8-inch, almost square, 120Hz AMOLED display with a resolution Samsung calls QXGA+ – roughly 2K along both axes. The screens also feature anti-reflective coatings to reduce glare from light sources. Anti-glare coating is now a welcome feature on many Samsung phones, but it’s notably absent from the S26 Ultra in order to accommodate the privacy…
