The company behind the long-running space simulation Eve online has entered into a partnership with Google in which the search giant will take a minority stake. In exchange, Google’s DeepMind will train its AI technology on the game, according to a report from Bloomberg. CCP Games, the developer that created and maintains Eve onlinewas also renamed Fenris Creations. This happened right after the company bought the rights to the game from Korean developer Pearl Abyss. Amazon is rolling out its super-fast delivery service, Amazon Now, to dozens of cities across the United States, promising deliveries of groceries and “essentials” in 30 minutes or less. Meta Meta shared more details about what she’s doing to keep children under 13 off Facebook and Instagram. Apple is preparing to roll out a “slight redesign” for the next version of macOS, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The update will feature a refinement of the Liquid Glass design language, cleaning up some of the rough edges seen in the Tahoe’s user interface. This will apparently include adjustments to the use of transparency and shadows throughout the system, which should address some user criticism regarding poor contrast when using Tahoe apps. Apple hosted its Manufacturing Academy’s first spring forum in East Lansing, Michigan, this week, bringing hundreds of U.S. manufacturers to Michigan State University to demonstrate how companies are applying AI techniques learned in the program.
