Robert Way/Shutterstock We may receive a commission on purchases made from links. When new devices are released, it can be tempting to run out and get them as soon as possible. Fear of missing out certainly plays a role, and marketing encourages us to keep upgrading to bigger and better phones, but that feeling may be changing. Not everyone can afford the latest things anyway, and not everyone has the budget to buy new things. Frankly, there’s nothing wrong with that, even though brands like Samsung release half a dozen…

RAMaggedon claims another. Justin Sullivan/Getty Images In an interview with The Wall Street JournalApple’s outgoing CEO has all but confirmed that higher prices are on the way for the company’s products. “Unfortunately, price increases are inevitable,” Tim Cook told the publication. “We are doing our best to mitigate the huge increases imposed on us and we are trying to protect our customers from these increases, but the situation has become untenable.” Unfortunately, Cook gave no details on how much and when prices will increase. With WWDC 2026 in the books, Apple is just months away from…
TY Lim/Shutterstock Problems with Android Auto, especially with device connections, are quite common. While some of these issues are caused by using the wrong USB cable for Android Auto, others, like the Android Auto connection issues affecting the Samsung Galaxy S26 series and Google Pixel devices, can be blamed on Google’s software. Although Google released a fix for some of these device connection issues in April this year as part of Play Services v26.15, it appears that it didn’t work. The company has now rolled out even more bug fixes…
As mentioned, the Honor Magic V6 continues Honor’s march towards building an ultra-thin foldable phone. Last year I noticed that the Magic V5 essentially looked like a traditional panel phone when folded. This year, it’s even more true. Take the phone out of your pocket and someone could easily mistake it for a more familiar flagship smartphone: it’s only once you unfold it that the form factor becomes apparent. The Honor Magic V6 measures a slim 4.1mm when unfolded, and when folded it expands to just 9.0mm. Yeah, it’s very thin, and it feels like it. Unfolded, the phone virtually…
Last week, Apple introduced a new discovery feature for the App Store called Personalized Collections, or app recommendations based on individual interests and behavior. Apple presented the announcement as another way for developers to get their app discovered, but there has already been pushback from a privacy perspective. App Store user analytics collected by Apple (Image: Mysk)New personalized recommendations may appear in the Apps, Games, and Search tabs and evolve over time based on user usage and app downloads. Apple does this through analytical data, but the breadth of information the company captures has set off alarm bells among some…
Erman Gunes/Shutterstock Google’s smartwatches have improved significantly over the years, with the Google Pixel Watch 4 being among the best you can buy today. It tells the time, tracks your steps, has sensors for health tracking, lets you see phone notifications, handles media playback, and everything else you want from a smartwatch. These features are well-known and part of most users’ daily lives, but your Pixel Watch also has a ton of cool hidden features that you probably didn’t know about. Just like the new features coming in WearOS 7…
Nimble this week launched the SharePower, a USB-C power bank that can be used as a single charger or split into two chargers so you can share it with a friend. SharePower is a 10,000 mAh power bank, with 5,000 mAh available on either side of the device. The two halves attach magnetically to charge a single smartphone, or separate to charge two. We were able to test SharePower before its launch to see how it works. Each side has a USB-C cable included. The left half has a 7-inch braided cable that doubles as a lanyard and can slide…
Apple today released new firmware for the AirPods Pro 3 and AirPods Pro 2. The firmware has a version number of 8B41, compared to 8B40 for the AirPods Pro 3 and 8B40 for the AirPods Pro 2. It’s unclear what’s included in the new firmware, but Apple has a support document with limited notes. Most updates are limited to bug fixes and performance improvements. To get the updated firmware, make sure your AirPods Pro are within range of your iPhone, iPad, or Mac and are connected via Bluetooth. From there, connect your Apple device to Wi-Fi, place your AirPods in…
Yarrrrrbright/Shutterstock While fears of device discounting have prompted many new users to reconsider purchasing a new OnePlus phone, existing owners of the company’s phones are generally singing the brand’s praises online. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, given that products like the OnePlus 13R manage to pack some serious features into a premium yet affordable package. However, in the face of lower prices, it’s easy to overlook glaring problems. Does this apply to this brand, especially in terms of longevity? Believe it or not, owners claim that OnePlus phones can…
Apple is working on camera-equipped AirPods expected to launch in late 2027 alongside the 20th anniversary iPhone and a next-generation foldable iPhone, reports Bloomberg. AirPods will be Apple’s first wearable AI product. The AirPods’ cameras aren’t designed to take photos and videos, but will send information about the wearer’s surroundings to Siri. Siri will be able to answer questions about objects and anything the wearer is looking at. Contextual reminders are a possibility, as are enhanced step-by-step instructions while walking. Apple already has a similar feature available through Visual Intelligence, which allows Siri to provide details about photos captured by…
