Apple today confirmed that there will be a daily usage limit for Siri AI, with expanded access available for a fee in the future.
In the fine print of Apple’s announcement about health detection features coming to the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4, Apple says it will have usage limits on Siri AI, smart photo editing tools, Image Playground, and Apple Foundation Cloud models in the Shortcuts app.
Some Apple Intelligence features that rely on server-side templates are subject to daily usage limits, including but not limited to Siri AI, smart photo editing tools, Image Playground, and AFM 3 Cloud templates in Shortcuts. Daily limits may vary depending on functionality, request complexity, system demand, system policies and other factors. Expanded access to these features will be available for a fee in the future.

Apple hasn’t provided details on how much the fee will be or how it will be billed, but at WWDC Apple said higher iCloud+ tiers will include expanded access to limited Apple Intelligence features.
iOS 27 with Siri AI and new features will launch on September 14. The new Apple Watch and iPhone models will be released on September 18.
