Apple shares photos taken on the iPhone Duo

Apple on Instagram today shared a curated gallery of six photos taken on the iPhone Duo. The photos were taken by American photographers Jake Michaels and Jason Nocito, as part of a project commissioned by Apple.

The iPhone Duo is equipped with four cameras:

  • A 48-megapixel Fusion main rear camera
  • A 48-megapixel Ultra Wide rear camera
  • A 12-megapixel Center Stage front camera in the exterior display
  • A front camera under the interior screen

The iPhone Duo doesn’t have a dedicated telephoto camera, which is a problem for some customers. The main camera has “optical-grade 2x telephoto” capabilities, but that pales in comparison to the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro models, which can achieve up to 8x optical zoom. Still, the photos shared by Apple prove that the iPhone Duo is still very capable in photography, at least in the hands of skilled photographers.

You can pre-order the iPhone Duo starting Friday, October 16 at 5 a.m. PT.
