Next month, tvOS 27 will be revealed, the next major release of Apple TV 4K software, and Apple confirmed this week that it will bring a useful new display setting: larger text.
Text can be resized with a new system-wide setting in tvOS 27

If you’re an Apple TV 4K fan, you never know whether WWDC will bring exciting new tvOS updates or completely disappoint you. This year, it’s anyone’s guess, as rumors about tvOS 27 have been largely nonexistent.
Maybe it’s because we’ve been waiting for the new Apple TV 4K hardware to arrive. The new Siri will reportedly delay it, so Apple may not be able to showcase many of tvOS 27’s features if they’re tied to unreleased hardware. However, some aspects of the new Siri may be integrated into current Apple TV models.
Regardless, this week, as part of its preview of accessibility updates, Apple confirmed a new feature coming to tvOS 27.
tvOS 27 will add a new setting to increase system-wide text size.

According to Apple’s press release:
Larger text Support is coming to tvOS, so visually impaired viewers can increase the on-screen text size for easier reading.
You can see what a big difference this new setting can make via the comparison images Apple shared (above and below).

Currently, tvOS 26 allows users to enable bold text for easier reading. There is also a hover text setting to magnify the actively selected item. But a true system-wide dynamic type setting is currently missing.
So if you have low vision or are like me and sit a good distance from your TV, tvOS 27 will help make everything a little easier to read.
Will you be using the new Larger Text setting when tvOS 27 launches? Let us know in the comments.
