Apple is planning a huge Apple Card sign-up bonus for new customers starting next week. If you sign up for a new Apple Card, you’ll essentially get a new pair of AirPods Pro 3 for free. Here’s how it will work.
According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, the promotion will begin next week in Apple stores. Gurman posted on social media:
Apple is planning a pretty big Apple Card sign-up incentive starting next week at retail stores: If you sign up for a new card, buy AirPods Pro 3, you’ll get $249 cash back. In other words, if you get an Apple Card, you get free AirPods.
It is unclear whether the promotion will also be available online. Gurman’s post, however, seems to suggest that you’ll need to head to your local Apple Store to take advantage of it.
Apple regularly offers sign-up bonuses to new Apple Card customers, but they are much less lucrative than that and often require a referral from a current Apple Card user. As Gurman says, it’s essentially a free pair of AirPods Pro 3 in exchange for opening an Apple Card.
This is all the more remarkable since the Apple Card does not charge any annual fee.
Another lucrative Apple Card promotion running through May 18 offers $100 in daily cash bonuses when you add a co-owner to your existing account.
Apple Card’s Daily Cash system gives you cash back that can be deposited into your Apple Cash account or Apple Card savings account.
The promotion also comes amid the Apple Card’s ongoing transition from Goldman Sachs to Chase. Apple struck a deal with Chase to take over as Apple Card issuer earlier this year, with the full transition expected to take two years.
