Apple says HomePod Mini 2 won’t immediately support Siri AI

Siri AI support on the new HomePod mini 2 will be “available later” as part of a “future software update,” according to Apple. In other words, don’t expect Siri AI to be available on the speaker when it launches on Friday, October 30.

Siri AI on the HomePod mini 2 will require an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad for requests involving personal context.
