There is a keyboard shortcut to open it, just like the Mac version.
Google has finally released a native Gemini app for Windows 10 and 11. It offers a simplified way to use AI tools on Windows PCs and follows a Mac version earlier this year.
Once downloaded, users can open the Gemini app via a keyboard shortcut, just like it works on Mac computers. The company says it’s ideal when people “need a quick fact check on a document or some catchy headline ideas for a presentation.” I would recommend fact checking because, you know, it’s generative AI.

The app integrates with other Google AI products, so tasks can be sent to the Gemini Spark agent assistant. It even works with things like Gmail and Google Drive. It can also generate images and videos via Nano Banana and Gemini Omni, if that’s your bag.
Google promises the app is “light and quiet,” so it won’t slow down Windows PCs. It’s available to download now and the company says more native desktop features will be available in the future.
