Apple today unveiled new Mac Studio models powered by the M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips. Pre-orders began today ahead of a September 22 launch, but a configuration won’t be available until later.
Apple says the Mac Studio with the M5 Ultra chip and 512GB of RAM will arrive “in late October,” with U.S. pricing expected to start well above the $10,000 mark. Apple stopped offering the previous generation Mac Studio with 512GB of RAM in March due to the ongoing memory chip shortage, but it appears the upgrade option will return for the new model in two months.
