2026 Standout Titanium Court arrives on consoles and mobiles on October 29
Right now, more video games are released in a month than most people can play in a lifetime. More than 21,000 games were released on Steam alone this year. Many of them won’t be worth your time, but one that I can absolutely recommend is Titanium Court. It’s one of the best games of the year and a lot more people will have the chance to play it soon. The game comes to Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Android and iOS on October 29.
Titanium Court debuted on Steam in April. He made waves earlier in the year after winning the Seumas McNally Grand Prix at the Independent Games Festival Awards. Developer AP Thomson (who also won this award in 2025 as part of the team that created Consume me) has created an enticing racing game that hasn’t been far from my thoughts over the past six months. It’s a roguelite but also a visual novel and at the same time an RPG.

A race (here called “war”) is made up of several battles, each with two phases. The first is essentially a match-3 game in which you’ll move around tiles representing things like wheat, rivers, forests, and enemy castles. Line up three matching tiles and you’ll gain relevant resources or clear enemy strongholds from the map. At the same time, you prepare the battlefield for the second stage, in which the bad guys will try to attack your base, which is also a tile on the grid. Before this phase begins, you can use resources to strengthen your defenses by recruiting soldiers and other workers.
This is the main focus of the gameplay, but there is much more to discover. Titanium Court. The game prevents you from bargaining too much in stores and might prevent you from implementing what you think is a winning tactic. You can’t really break the rules of the game like you can in incremental roguelites like CloverPit And Balatro. Determining what the restrictions are is part of Titanium Courtthatโs the charm.
This extends to the metagame that takes place between races. Your character is the new queen of the court, who initially has no idea what is going on. They don’t know how they ended up in this bizarre kingdom, where road signs coexist with dragons as well as fairies who don’t believe in the concept of cars. As you seek to return home, you may come across references to baseball, Jenga and all sorts of pop culture touchstones.
Titanium Court is a stylish, clever and wildly quirky game. It’s full of jokes and surprises, so I don’t want to give too much away here. I can’t wait to dive into it again, probably on my phone to hopefully dissuade myself from doomscrolling.
