During Apple’s WWDC 2026 keynote, the tech giant revealed many new features that users can expect to get in the iOS 27 update coming in the fall. Apple’s suite of AI features gets a new boost in iOS 27 thanks to Apple’s partnership with Google. One of the most notable Apple Intelligence features coming to your device is a smarter Siri, dubbed Siri AI. In iOS 27, you’ll get a dedicated Siri app, better interactions between Siri and your apps, and personal responses that rely on personal context like the content of your messages or emails.
Apple Intelligence also makes its way into most, if not all, of your various built-in apps. For example, you can now create a custom extension in Safari simply by describing what you want, use Image Playground to generate wallpapers and contact posters, and get suggestions for your next actions in Mail. What else can the upgraded Apple Intelligence do?
Next-generation Apple Intelligence is being integrated into more essential iPhone apps, and there are at least 10 use cases that Apple didn’t showcase during the WWDC 2026 keynote:
- Shortcuts: Thanks to Apple Intelligence, the Shortcuts app benefits from more automations, the ability to save data, and the use of an AI model that provides access to vast global knowledge.
- Photos: You can now extend your lock screen wallpaper using Apple Intelligence, presumably to fill in details if you want more area around the subject.
- Remarks : Siri can edit your handwritten notes for you. Additionally, Image Wand is updated to generate images in new ways.
- Aptitude: Workout Buddy now supports Spanish. You also get new insights with the Workout Buddy feature.
- Magnifying glass : The magnifier camera view can be used to learn more about your surroundings.
- Newspaper: The app offers you personalized writing prompts.
- Messages and mail: You will get personalized writing with the help of Apple Intelligence.
- Genmoji: Apple Intelligence offers new ways to create and edit your Genmojis.
- Researcher: You will see suggested file and folder names.
- Accessibility: VoiceOver can now describe images in more detail.
Apple has yet to announce how exactly these hidden Apple Intelligence will work, or specific details on what the features will do. You will simply have to wait for the arrival of stable iOS 27 to find out more.
