tvOS 27.2 code tips on Apple Intelligence for the new Apple TV

Apple’s latest tvOS 27.2 beta adds weight to rumors that the next Apple TV will support Siri AI and Apple Intelligence. The code suggests Apple is adding an Improve ‌Siri‌ and ‌Apple Intelligence‌ toggle to the tvOS Settings app.

“Help improve Base and ‌Siri‌ by letting Apple collect and use your text and audio interactions with ‌Siri‌, Dictation, and Translate,” the text reads.

Other Apple devices with ‌Apple Intelligence‌ have similar privacy disclosures and data sharing options. On devices that don’t support ‌Apple Intelligence‌, the setting is titled “Improve ‌Siri‌ and dictation.” The new code is included alongside existing code for ‌Siri‌ data sharing, so it’s likely that only Apple Intelligence compatible hardware will see it.

tvOS 27.2 also has a new ‌Siri‌ Messages UI framework, indicating that message content may be displayed on ‌Apple TV‌ in the future. ‌Siri‌ may be able to read messages sent to a linked iPhone and display smart reply options on ‌Apple TV‌. The current version of ‌Siri‌ on ‌Apple TV‌ does not support sending or reading messages, so the framework is likely related to ‌Siri‌’s AI.

Apple is working on a version of ‌Apple TV‌ with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and an A19 or A19 Pro chip, hardware that could support ‌Siri‌ AI features on the device. Apple seems to be setting the stage for the new ‌Apple TV‌ with tvOS 27.2.

We could get a new ‌Apple TV‌ as early as October 13.
