Strong iPhone sales have helped boost shipments of Samsung Display’s flexible OLED displays so far this year, according to a report from The Elect. Samsung shipped around 120 million flexible OLED panels for smartphones in the first half, an increase of 35% year-on-year. This represents approximately 65% of the overall increase in global flexible OLED panel shipments.
Market research firm Sigmaintell expects demand to remain strong in the second half, driven in part by the planned launch of Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and foldable iPhone models in September.
