Microsoft Windows and Surface Event 2026: Live updates as Satya Nadella and Jensen Huang take the stage

Microsoft is expected to reveal more details about the Surface Laptop Ultra at its Windows and Surface event in San Francisco. The company also showed off “the latest innovations across Windows, NVIDIA RTX Spark, Surface, and the broader PC ecosystem.” In its invitation, Microsoft said we would hear from CEO Satya Nadella and Windows and devices chief Pavan Davuluri, as well as NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang. The presentation, which is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. (1 p.m. ET), is expected to last about an hour, and you can watch the company’s live stream on its X, Instagram, and YouTube channels.

Or you can just stay here and follow our live blog. Our lead reporters Karissa Bell and Devindra Hardawar will be on the ground bringing you live updates from the scene. We’ll launch our live blog in a few hours at 10 a.m. ET, keeping you up to date with the latest rumors and teases leading up to launch. In the meantime, feel free to leave us comments below and we will be sure to respond as soon as possible.

To recap, we already got a glimpse of the Surface Laptop Ultra earlier this year during the company’s Build developer conference. It’s supposed to be the most powerful Surface yet, thanks to the power of NVIDIA’s RTX Spark superchip. We know that it has a 15-inch mini LED display that reaches 2,000 nits of brightness. It has the largest trackpad Microsoft has ever made, as well as a generous offering of ports, including USB C, USB A, and a built-in full-size SD card reader.

Today, however, we’ll likely learn more about pricing, availability, and other software features. And if we hadn’t also heard about some type of agentic AI feature coming to Windows, I’d be shocked. Still, given the company’s recent checkered history of deploying AI features on Windows, as well as the speed at which the Copilot+ PC initiative grew and faded into obscurity, the stakes are high for Microsoft.
