Microsoft OneDrive drops support for these iPhone models
Microsoft is set to drop support for OneDrive for iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, which will remove the cloud storage app’s compatibility with several older iPhones and one iPad model.
The loss of iOS 18 support will impact the iPhone XR, iPhone
OneDrive 18.12.1 is the final release supporting iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, based on release notes from Microsoft’s latest TestFlight beta.
It’s unclear when the change will make its way to the public version of OneDrive. That said, Microsoft recently added a notice to its App Store listing stating that support for iOS and iPadOS 18 will be “discontinued soon” and recommending users update to iOS 26 or iOS 27 to continue receiving the latest versions.
Existing versions of OneDrive should not immediately stop working on affected devices, but they will not receive new features, fixes, or other app updates once Microsoft makes the change.
