Lego will soon unveil a new monumental Star Wars the Death Star set!

With more than 9,000 pieces, nearly 40 figurines and a dizzying price, this UCS stamped creation (Ultimate Collector Series) is already one of the most impressive sets in the range.

A brick juggernaut

Referenced under number 75419, this new set will have around 9,019 pieces, which places it among the largest sets ever produced by LEGO. Unlike the previous spherical variations of the Death Star, it adopts a different approach: a diorama cut, revealing several cult scenes of the films of the saga. We find in particular the Salle du Throne of the Emperor, the garbage compactor or the corridors where Luke and Han face the Stormtroopers.

The set is also distinguished by its richness in characters: no less than 38 to 40 figurines should accompany the construction, a record for a Lego product. From Luke Skywalker to Dark Vader via Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, R2-D2, C-3PO, Tarkin and the Emperor Palpatine, all the icons of the original trilogy seem to be part.

A price that makes teeth cringe

However, this gigantism has a cost: LEGO plans a public price of $ 999.99, the symbolic threshold of the thousand dollars. At this price, the death star would simply become the most expensive set in Lego’s history. Enough to cool more than one collector, even among the most diligent fans.

On forums and social networks, the first reactions oscillate between admiration and dismay. Some salute the density of details and the choice to multiply the emblematic scenes, but many consider the disproportionate price compared to what the whole offers!

In addition, by choosing an open structure in a half-sphere, Lego also takes an aesthetic party that divides. Some appreciate the possibility of directly exposing the interior scenes without having to dismantle the set, when others regret that the death star loses its mythical silhouette.

Scheduled for October 1, 2025, the set 75419 should quickly become a coveted collector’s object, in particular because of its unique status in the history of Lego.
